In Delivery: Hole in the Wall Casino erected in Danbury, WI

Canam’s Washington, MO, plant fabricated steel components for the new Hole in the Wall Casino, currently under construction in Danbury, WI, near Lake Superior.
The project included 255 tons of longspan joists, 70 tons of midspan joists, and 20 tons of barrel joists and related bridging.
“The project was a definite challenge, from detailing through to engineering,” said Brian Williams, Canam’s assistant chief drafter at the Washington plant. The joists required several load cases to accommodate multiple drift loads on the roof and several different loading zones on the floor.
The erector, Miron Construction of Danbury, WI, expressed to Canam that they were very impressed with the excellent fitup on such a complex design. “Those kinds of statements make it all worthwhile,” Williams added.
Dynamic Structural Steel of Proctor, MN, is Canam’s customer on this special project.
