Washington, MO builds a Target in the plant’s backyard

February’s ice and snow storms did nothing to stop truck drivers, who had only a short commute from Canam’s Washington, MO plant, from delivering 11 loads containing 179 tons of joists to the new Target store right in town. The job involved the fabrication of 590 shortspan and midspan joists and 55 joist girders. The new store, located in Phoenix Center Phase II, is scheduled to open by the late summer of 2007. The customer for this project was Fabco Metal Products of Daytona, FL, a custom structural steel fabricator.
