In Delivery: Canam delivers deep piggyback joists for a Virginia high school

Canam U.S. recently completed the delivery of complex joists fabricated at its Point of Rocks, MD plant for Kettle Run High School near Warrenton, VA. The steel joists, totaling 400 tons, included 14 piggyback joists 19’9” deep and 115’ long as well as gable and midspan joists.

Canam’s customer for this project was Irongate Inc., a Virginia-based steel fabricator and erector involved in the construction of many schools in the northern Virginia region.
