Complex design of 255 tons of longspan joists, 70 tons of midspan joists and 20 tons of barrel joists was the challenge for Washington, MO product engineers, detailers and welders for the Lake Superior region casino. The joists required several load cases to accommodate multiple drift loads on the roof and several different loading zones on the floor.

The erector, Miron Construction, Danbury, WI, was impressed with the fitup. Canam’s fabricator customer was Dynamic Structural Steel of Proctor, MN.
