This facility for the regions National Guard Unit required design and fabrication of “half” gable trusses, involving a total of 119 pieces. Some steel joist girders design were up to 106 feet long. Redesign by Canam brought the job into budget for the National Guard, involving a change from one long spliced gable to two half-gables with a support at the center that is manufactured by Prospect Steel, making lighter and more cost-effective steel joists.
