Project Features
Completion: 2006
Distinctive cream-colored steel left the Point of Rocks plant for the Great Wolf Lodge, a wilderness-themed water park that opened this summer as part of Paramount’s Kings Island near Cincinnati, Ohio. The steel joists are exposed above the "slides and rides" in the park, and a cedar deck is nailed to the steel' top chords.
The project totals about 150 tons, made up of 57 pieces of steel girders and mid-and long-span joists averaging 82 feet in length. They are spray-painted with a special coating.
