Located in downtown St. Louis, it is the 12th largest convention/exhibition center in the U.S. The stadium is home to the St. Louis Rams football team and covers four city blocks. The facility is 640 feet wide by 750 feet long by 205 feet high to the top of the center portion of the roof. The roof cave is about 140 feet above street level. In the aggregate the facility has about 1,710,430 square feet of space. Canam Steel Corporation and Structal-Heavy Steel Construction have manufactured 1,225 tons of steel joists and girders for the roof of the Trans World Dome at its Washington, Missouri plant. Some of these joists spanned more than 206 feet in length and exceeded 17 tons to be field-bolted together on site.
